Nurse Practitioner – CPNP or FNP
Upper Valley Pediatrics is an independent pediatric practice serving families throughout the Upper Valley from our offices in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Bradford, Vermont. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care in a supportive, collaborative, and community-focused environment.
We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) who is licensed, or eligible for licensure, in both Vermont and New Hampshire to join our practice. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care, values collaboration, and is comfortable practicing independently within their scope of practice.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
This position is available in our Bradford, VT and West Lebanon, NH clinics, with one Saturday morning clinic per month in Bradford, VT.
Schedule
- Two (2) to four (4) clinical days per week
- One (1) Saturday morning clinic per month in Bradford, VT
- Typical clinic hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Administrative time provided for charting, patient follow-up, and care coordination
- Participation in telephone call approximately one week per month

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic care to pediatric and young adult patients
- Perform well-child examinations, developmental screenings, and age-appropriate preventive care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
- Diagnose and manage common chronic pediatric conditions
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
- Prescribe medications and treatments within applicable scope of practice and state regulations
- Provide immunization counseling and preventive health education
- Educate patients and families regarding health, wellness, development, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
- Comply with all applicable regulatory, ethical, professional, and practice standards
- Participate in the education and clinical training of Nurse Practitioner, medical, and other healthcare students as appropriate
- Participate in the education of Pediatric Residents when appropriate
Qualifications Required
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
- Eligible for unrestricted APRN licensure in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Eligible for DEA registration, as applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Commitment to evidence-based pediatric care and family-centered medicine
Preferred
- Previous pediatric primary care experience
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner, although qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Interest in developing long-term relationships with patients and families
- Desire to practice in a community-focused, independent pediatric practice
- Interest in clinical teaching and mentorship
