• Same-Day Sick Visits

We make every possible effort to ensure that patients needing to be seen for urgent illness are able to be seen the day of calling. However, we cannot guaranty that the patient’s preferred provider will have availability and they may need to be seen by another provider who has availability in their schedule.

  • After-Hours Care

If your child’s illness or injury is life-threatening, call 911. Otherwise, for urgent matters that cannot wait until business hours, call our office to be connected to an on-call provider.

  • Late Arrivals & Missed Appointments

We understand that there are times when unforeseen circumstances arise that make it impossible to arrive on time for your appointment. However, due to our busy practice and our desire to provide the best care to all of our patients, we might not be able to accommodate your late arrival. Please call ahead if you will be more than 10 minutes late and we can reschedule you, or you are free to wait for a period of time in the office to see if you can be put back into the schedule on that day.

Any patient who misses a scheduled appointment without giving a 24-hour notice prior to the appointment will be assessed a “no show fee” that must be paid prior to the next office visit. This fee is not billable to insurance. We are aware that unexpected situations do arise, please let us know, extraordinary circumstances will certainly be taken into consideration.

  • Hospital Care

We are members of the medical staff at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a short distance from Cottage Hospital, the local hospital in Woodsville, NH. Should the need for hospitalization occur, you (the parents/guardians) will decide what hospital you would prefer.

  • Medication Refills

Requesting a prescription refill or renewal has never been easier. Simply submit the request though our Patient Portal, and we will take care of the rest. We require at least 2 business days’ advance notice for prescription refills.

Insurance

Please bring a copy of your insurance card to every visit. If you have more than one insurance plan, please give us your insurance information for each of your policies, so that you will get the maximum benefits.

As a convenience to our patients, we will submit claims to all insurances that we are contracted with.

Payments

  • We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
  • If we do not have active insurance information before your visit, you will be responsible for payment of that visit at the time of service. If you notify us of insurance at a later date, we will submit any claims not over 90 days old and reimburse you if we are paid by your contracted insurance company.
  • If you have an insurance policy that we do not have a contract with, payment is expected at the time of service. We will give you the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance.
  • If you have no insurance, payment is expected at the time of service; however, if this is a hardship, a payment plan can be arranged. We also give a 20% discount when payment is made at the time of service.
  • Co-pays are expected to be paid at the time of service.
  • You will be responsible for payment of any balances owed by you after contracted insurance claims are processed.
  • We will ask for payment of a balance owed at your next visit and/or when a statement is mailed. The expectation is for the balance to be paid within 30 days of the visit.
  • If you have financial difficulty preventing you from paying your bill in full, you are responsible for contacting our billing office at (802) 222-4722. We are always willing to work with families to arrange a suitable payment plan. Balances past due more than 120 days can be subject to submission to a collection agency.
